AEP Ohio ReCreation Land
Write-up by Michael Kilby For the past couple of years four of us have trekked to the AEP Recreation lands near Zanesville, Ohio. The land formally (Ohio Powers) was utilized for drilling and mining and has now been “reclaimed” into a amazing wildlife retreat. This area now provides all kinds of outdoor recreation such as fishing, camping, hunting, hiking, and horseback riding. Although there are plenty of campsites, we remain in a small bed and breakfast in McConnelsille. Although there are quite a few outdoor activities to be enjoyed, our trip is for 1 purpose fishing.
